Your expertise will be crucial in building and managing CI/CD pipelines, integrating development tools, and providing technical guidance on best practices. A strong background in Linux, IaC, and a Red Hat certification are essential.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a platform, DevOps, or systems engineering role, focusing on Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes.
  • Certification: Must possess a valid Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (EX280) or equivalent.
  • Containerization: Strong expertise with containerization (Docker, Podman) and a deep understanding of Kubernetes concepts.
  • GitOps: Hands-on experience with creating and managing declarative application deployments and a solid understanding of a GitOps workflow (Argo CD or Flux).
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proven experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
  • CI/CD: Hands-on experience building and managing automated pipelines.
  • Linux: Advanced proficiency in Linux administration and shell scripting.
  • Communication: Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with development teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with OpenShift Virtualization is a plus.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of application development and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with OpenShift operators and managing a multi-cluster environment.
  • Familiarity with application-level security, including secrets management and vulnerability scanning.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Developer Enablement: Design and maintain a robust Red Hat OpenShift platform with a self-service experience for developers, including configuring namespaces, quotas, and RBAC.
  2. Application Configuration: Develop and maintain cloud-native applications and their associated declarative configurations (e.g., Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts) for a GitOps pipeline.
  3. CI/CD Integration: Build and support automated CI/CD pipelines (using Jenkins, GitLab, or Tekton) for application builds, testing, and deployments.
  4. Application Platform Management: Work with development teams to troubleshoot deployment issues, optimize container images, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  5. Best Practices & Guidance: Provide technical guidance to application teams on containerization best practices, security, and resource optimization.
